Furnished residences in East Boston.

Triple-deckers and duplexes a short walk from the Blue Line — fifteen minutes to Mass General, five to Logan, and harbor views from half the porches in the neighborhood.

Why travel nurses pick East Boston.

East Boston is the most overlooked of Boston's hospital-adjacent neighborhoods, which is exactly why our tenants love it. The Blue Line runs the full length of the neighborhood, putting Massachusetts General Hospital fifteen minutes away — closer, in commute time, than most apartments in Cambridge or Brookline. For clinicians flying in to start an assignment, Logan International is a five-minute ride from anywhere in the neighborhood.

The housing stock is the other reason. Eastie has the densest collection of Italian-American triple-deckers in the city, most built between 1890 and 1920, many recently restored. We acquire and renovate these buildings deliberately: original woodwork where it survives, modern systems behind the walls, every unit fully furnished and rented as a complete home.

Commute times to Boston hospitals.

From a Bartlett residence in East Boston, here are the commute times we quote travel nurses on every inquiry:

  • Massachusetts General Hospital — 15–20 minutes via the Blue Line to Bowdoin or Government Center.
  • Tufts Medical Center — 20 minutes, Blue Line transferring to Orange at State Street.
  • Boston Medical Center — 25–30 minutes via Blue → Orange transfer at Downtown Crossing.
  • Brigham & Women's Hospital — 35–40 minutes via Blue → Green Line E (Longwood Medical Area).
  • Beth Israel Deaconess, Boston Children's, Dana-Farber — same Longwood corridor, 35–40 minutes door to door.
  • Logan International Airport — 5 minutes via the Blue Line or rideshare.

Getting around East Boston.

The Blue Line

Stations at Maverick, Airport, Wood Island, Orient Heights, and Suffolk Downs. Trains every five to seven minutes during peak hours, every ten off-peak. Service runs from roughly 5:15 AM to 12:45 AM most days — important if you work an overnight shift.

Silver Line SL3

Bus rapid transit running Chelsea to South Station via the Eastie waterfront. Useful for shifts at South Station–adjacent destinations and for trips to the Seaport without transferring downtown.

MBTA Ferry

The East Boston ferry leaves Lewis Mall Wharf and arrives at Long Wharf in nine minutes — a scenic alternative to the Blue Line that drops you steps from a walking commute to MGH.

Bluebikes & parking

Bluebikes stations at Maverick Square, Day Square, Central Square, and Piers Park. Every Bartlett residence in Eastie includes a dedicated off-street parking spot, and resident street permits are available through the City of Boston for tenants with multi-month leases.
